How much does motorcycle insurance cost?
Nobody can honestly quote you a number before seeing your details. The type of bike, the engine size, your age, your riding experience and your driving record all go into the price, and a sport bike prices very differently from a cruiser. Each company weighs all of it its own way. That is exactly why we quote you with every company that fits, then recommend the one that works best for you.
What motorcycle insurance does West Virginia require?
West Virginia requires liability coverage of at least 25/50/25: $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for injuries you cause, and $25,000 for property damage. You must also carry uninsured motorist coverage at the same limits. Those are legal minimums, and a serious wreck can cost far more, so we go over higher limits with you when we quote.
Do I have to insure my bike all winter?
If the bike is registered, it has to be insured. Some companies let you drop to theft-and-damage coverage for the months the bike sits, so it stays covered in the garage. Ask us before you cancel anything.
Are my custom parts and gear covered?
A standard policy covers only a small amount for parts bolted to the bike. Custom exhaust, chrome and other upgrades need accessory coverage, and riding gear usually needs its own add-on. Tell us what you have put into the bike and we quote it.
Can you quote Progressive and Dairyland?
Yes. We work with both, along with Nationwide, Westfield, Liberty Mutual, GEICO, Foremost, American Modern, and National General. Bring any online quote you already have and we check it against the rest.
Can I switch before my policy renews?
Yes. You can change companies any time and the old one refunds what you have not used. We line up the start date so there is no gap in coverage.
