About Foxquilt
Foxquilt is not an insurance company. It is a digital managing general underwriter: it builds its own small business products and issues them on other companies’ paper, including Markel and Greenlight Re, and it holds a coverholder appointment at Lloyd’s. Foxquilt is the name on the quote, but the company carrying the risk is the one printed on your policy.
The two products Foxquilt builds itself are commercial general liability and errors and omissions, aimed at small operators: trades and contractors, online sellers, personal services, and independent professionals. Quoting and binding happen online in minutes, which is the whole point of the platform. Foxquilt was founded in 2016 and works out of Toronto and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Where Foxquilt tends to fit
Foxquilt tends to fit small, low-hazard operations that need general liability or professional liability quickly and at a small-account price: a one-truck trade, an online seller, a photographer, a consultant, a wellness practice.
