Can a Point Pleasant agency insure me in Ohio?
Yes. We insure Ohio drivers, homes and businesses from our office on Viand Street, a few minutes across the river from Gallipolis. You get the same thing our West Virginia customers get: we quote you with every company that fits, and recommend your best one.
What are the minimum auto limits in Ohio?
Ohio requires 25/50/25: $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for injuries you cause, and $25,000 for damage to other people’s property. That is the legal floor, not a recommendation. We quote you the minimum and higher limits so you can see what the extra protection actually costs.
Do you handle SR-22 filings for the Ohio BMV?
Yes. If the BMV requires an SR-22 after an OVI, a suspension or driving uninsured, ask for DeAnna. She handles non-standard auto and quotes the companies that will file it for you.
Does home insurance cover flooding in Gallipolis?
No. Flood is left out of standard home policies on both sides of the river and needs its own policy, and a new flood policy usually has a 30-day waiting period. We quote both federal NFIP flood and private flood.
Can you write my Ohio business’s workers comp?
Ohio does not allow private workers comp. It goes through the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. We write the rest of your business insurance, and workers comp for any West Virginia payroll.
