About GetCovered
GetCovered is not an insurance company. Get Covered, LLC is a licensed property and casualty agency, West Virginia license number 100267522, and the renters policies it sells are issued by other companies. It says it places business only with carriers rated A- or better by AM Best, but it does not publish which company writes a given policy, so the name to look for is the one on your declarations page.
The platform was built around apartment communities. A property manager plugs GetCovered into leasing, and the renter buys a policy that already meets the liability limit the community requires, usually in a couple of minutes. Billing runs on a card charged monthly, and the policy is managed from the resident’s online account.
