Lincoln Financial has been writing since 1905 and took its name from Abraham Lincoln with the family’s permission, which is why his face is still on the logo. It is one of the larger life and retirement companies in the country, rated A (Excellent) by AM Best.
We use it for life insurance and annuities. Its universal and indexed universal life products are well established, and the piece worth knowing about is MoneyGuard, a life policy with long term care benefits built in: if you need care it pays for care, and if you never do, it still pays a death benefit. That solves the objection most people have to standalone long term care insurance, which is paying for something you may never use.
