Claims
Simply Business does not handle claims. Your policy is with whichever company on their panel wrote it, and that company is who you report to. Look at your declarations page for the carrier name first, then find it on their claims page. Or call us and we will point you at the right one.
Have the policy number, the date, time, and place of the incident, photographs, receipts, and anything formal like a police report or an estimate. Every carrier on that panel asks for the same things.
About Simply Business
Simply Business is a broker rather than an insurance company. It runs a panel of about twenty carriers and places small business coverage across them, which is what a wholesaler does. It started in Britain in 2005, opened in the United States in 2016, and Travelers bought it in 2017, so the company standing behind the platform is one we also write directly.
Worth knowing before you use it: a good part of that panel is already on this page. CNA, Coterie, Hiscox, Liberty Mutual, RLI, Travelers, biBERK, and AXIS are all companies we are appointed with ourselves. The reason to go through Simply Business is the small accounts and the odd classes that fall outside a direct appointment, not access to those carriers.

Simply Business tends to fit the small account that is hard to place directly: a one-person trade, a cleaner, an online seller, a wellness or personal services business, a class most companies will not quote at that size.
