Pay Your Bill
A bond is paid for when it is issued, so there is no ongoing bill to log in and pay. Renewal notices come from the surety company that wrote the bond, or from our office.
Claims
A claim against a bond goes to the surety company named on the bond, not to ZipBonds. Send us the notice and we will identify the surety and walk it through with you.
About ZipBonds
ZipBonds is not an insurance company. It is a surety bond platform, founded in 2021 in West Des Moines, Iowa, by two people who got tired of how slow placing a bond used to be. We use it to put a bond request in front of a dozen national and regional surety companies at once and get it issued the same day.
The bond itself is written by whichever surety company underwrites it. Their name, not the ZipBonds name, is what appears on the bond form you sign and file.
Where ZipBonds tends to fit
ZipBonds is where we go for license and permit bonds, contractor bid, performance, and payment bonds, court bonds such as probate, executor, and guardianship, and fidelity bonds including ERISA and employee dishonesty. If you need a bond in a hurry to pull a permit or file with a court, this is usually the fastest path. Either way, we quote across everyone we write with before recommending anything.
